I've lived several lives in my 53 years on this earth. For one of these lives I was the spouse of an MBA student at Western University's Ivey School of Business. My ex-husband David was a student there from 1998-2000. During this time, I met some lovely people, many of them other spouses. One of these lovely gals, with whom I've stayed in touch over these 20+ years, is Chaviva Lifson. From Montreal, Chaviva herself has had a many changed life, and we talk about that here. She speaks to her complicated relationship with her mom (whom of us don't have such experiences?), how her community supported her as a young mother whose husband had cancer, and how being an observant Jew gives her structure and community, and yes, joy of a certain kind. Please enjoy this meander as we walk through time and experience and share what's in our hearts.
Chaviva speaks to her blog in this episode, which you can find at Putting Mom First.
She's also a serial entrepreneur and of late has been baking treats for Jewish holidays.
