Meanderings with Trudy

Meanderings with Trudy, "The Joy Diet," Chapter 6: Treats

Episode Summary

"Meanderings with Trudy" is brought to you these days by the letter "P" for Pivot. With Angie away for the rest of this season, I'll be doing these episodes on my own. Honestly, it took me a while to figure out what to do, but this is what I have decided: an on-line book club looking into a book on joy. We're digging into the book "The Joy Diet: 10 Daily Practices for a Happier Life" by sociologist and life coach Martha Beck. Please, join me!

Episode Notes

Treats! Everyone loves treats... and they can be a crucial tool in supporting you in the joy diet. They can help offset the inner challenge of taking a risk, and they can reinforce good habits.

I hope you enjoy this meander as I share some of the things that I think of as "treats." It's more than chocolate and pizza, I can assure you! I hope you'll take some time to consider what a treat means to you. Beck calls treats things that make you smile, so what's your list? Feel free to share your thoughts with me at meanderingswithtrudy@gmail.com.
